An Introduction To Our Facilities

Situated just outside Granada in southern Spain, El Amparo is a beautiful Spanish farmhouse B&B, in the style of a traditional Andalucian rural hotel surrounded by olive groves, wheat fields and mountains.

Ideally located for visiting the cities of Granada, Cordoba and Seville, it is a place of calm and tranquility, whilst still ensuring those creature comforts.

The Salon

The Salon is a cosy area for reading and relaxing. Comfortable sofas, board games and a large library of both fictional and informative books.

There are details of carefully researched walking and cycling routes for guests. High speed Starlink Internet WiFi is available in the rooms and most common areas.

A continental plus breakfast of fresh fruits, hams and cheeses as well as muesli and yoghurts are served in the salon or courtyard in the morning, and for guests dining in.

We provide an optional Three Course Set Dinner Service 5 nights per week, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday but can give recommendations for restaurants and Tapas bars in the Local Town during our nights off .

Food & Drink

Breakfast

Breakfast is served from 9am in the salon and during the warmer months in the courtyard or on the terrace.

A spread of fruits, meats and cheeses, muesli, greek yoghurt, reshly baked bread, juices, fresh Coffee, Tea and other local produce to satisfy the heartiest of appetites.

Lunch

Lunch is only served by special arrangement for groups of 8 or more.

Dinner

For those requiring further sustenance in the evening, we are happy to recommend several local restaurants and tapas bars. But if you would prefer to chill out, watch the sunset with a glass of wine, and just “stay in”, we provide dinner Service 5 Nights per Week.

Nights Off are Wednesday & Sunday.

One of the benefits of living in this region of Granada is the abundance of fresh local produce, much of it harvested in the adjacent groves and farmland. When in season, this is used daily in the preparation of our food and we use organic wherever possible.

We offer an optional home-cooked three-course dinner 5 nights per week, on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday ( Saturday is always Pizza Night ) for our nights off we can provide dining recommendations in the local towns which are a short drive away, or there are two Tapas bars in the Local Village at the bottom of the Hill!

The Pool

The pool area is open from 9am until 8pm. April until October.

Pool towels are provided. If you get thirsty there’s a pool honesty bar with beer, soft drinks and ice. Just help yourself.

Happy To Help

We’ll help you organise your outings to explore the cultural delights of the area and if you want to just relax by the pool, we’ll be on hand with a cooling drink!

If you or your friends and family want to take over El Amparo’s guest accommodation for a special celebration, we’ll be there to look after you and see everything runs smoothly.

Bike Riding

We can arrange quality mountain bike hire for guests to use during their stay, to ensure that guests have access to the latest well-maintained bikes, we have bike hire partners in Granada, please ensure that you pre-book your bike(s) at least 1 week before your arrival.

We offer maps and directions for many well-researched cycle routes and can offer full guided 1/2 Day and Full Day Excursions.

Walking & Sightseeing

The area is ideal for hiking and walking and there are many paths and trails that start directly from our front gate – no need to use the car.

We can supply maps, guidance and packed lunches. You supply the energy!

Exclusive use

Stay at El Amparo and you have your own luxury private residence with all the convenience of renting a villa but with none of the work.

We can offer advice and help you plan an enjoyable week for your group with as little or as much input as you require.
